DESCRIPTION

The TCM5-27-18 tank-container, designed by the Russia’s ‘Metalcomposite’ research and technical centre, is suitable for the safe transportation of liquefied hydrocarbon gases by road, rail or sea and for the temporary storage of these cargoes.

The TCM5-27-18 is an IMO5 type container and has C 605 H dimensions in accordance with EN 1432:1997. It meets the requirements of the International Conventions and Agreements on containers, ISO and Russian national standards.

The TCM5-27-18 is a swap-body design with weight and dimensions conforming to the requirements of ISO 668:1995. The container is tested in accordance with the requirements of ISO 1496-3:1995.

Loading /discharge of liquefied gas is carried out by pumping it under pressure through the liquid phase loading /discharge device. Vapors from the cargo are held inside the tank at discharging and are removed from it at loading through the vapor recovery device in the valve compartment in the lower part of the rear dished end of the tank.

The container is manufactured for use in moderate climatic conditions (M-Category) according to the class of stowage 1 by GOST 15150-69 (Russian State Standards) and is rated for operation in temperatures ranging from -40ºC up to 50ºC
